We primarily invest in two strategies:
We seek to invest in leading technology companies with strong market positions and attractive unit economics where we have a differentiated insight sourced from India. These include companies in SaaS, services, digital infrastructure, hardware, etc. Over time, we expect to invest behind consumer technology companies, as well.
We seek to invest behind technology-enabled companies that dominate a growing niche in the market – generally in distribution-led or IP-led businesses. The distribution-led derive their edge from the branding and distribution of consumer, agricultural or financial products, like brands and banks. Others build one-sided or two-sided networks like exchanges, marketplaces and classifieds. The IP-led businesses include complex API manufacturers and SaaS companies. Others typically solve a crucial but small component of their clients’ business, making them well entrenched with customers. These include IT service, niche engineering and contract research firms.
